Color accuracy

27 January, 2023

Photography of museum collections require very accurate lighting and color management.
That is why we use calibrated cameras, flashes and computer systems.
We use the globally accepted Metamorfoze standard. So that every photograph of your painting, print or picture represents its true reality.

360 degree product photography

13 June, 2022
How nice would it be if you only had to remove vulnerable objects from the depot just once, photograph them in great detail all around, and show those images to the whole world? So that all enthusiasts, visitors, scientists and students all over the world can view the object in great detail? Without having to be nearby?

For the Modemuze project I photographed this beautiful coat together with Monique Vermeulen for the Amsterdam Museum. From 72 sides, in a 400 megaxpixel resolution. In the analog era that would be 72 prints of 195 cm high!

Thanks to the wonderful zoom features of Marcel Duin's Micr.io, you can view the object from all sides and zoom in extremely at any time of the day, at any place in the world, on any phone, tablet or computer. How beautiful is that? Do you want to share the beauty of the collection, in 360 degrees, in extreme detail, with everyone in the world?

Misleiden, schatten van verwarring

01 April, 2022

True colors in a gigasize file

21 December, 2020
Our medium format camera shoots with a whopping 102 megapixels in 16 bit. You can print these files in 300 dpi at 75x100cm! Without any interpolation…

If you want more we have two options, stitching or pixel shift.
Pixel shift has besides more megapixels another huge advantage. Even more exact colors. All modern camera’s use a Bayern filter with two green, one blue and one red sensitive pixel. This technology works great. The color reproduction is already superb for photographing art.
This new Pixel Shift feature makes not one but 16 images in a row, So each pixel gets the perfect true color information plus even more extra resolution. The result is a 400 megapixel 1,6 gb file which can be printed in 300dpi at 150x200 cm in even more accurate colors…..

Yes, we did it!
We won the golden Lovie Award for Cultural Institutions, with the 360 degrees virtual tour of the hall of fame in the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam. Lovie awards are considered to be the “Oscars” of the European internet. I made all the ultra high-res 360 degrees gigapixels images of this tour, and I loved it! You can zoom in and out, swirl up and down, left or right. And see every angle of this wonderful part of the museum.
